It gives me great pleasure to announce this wonderful event happening Friday, 28th April 2023 at world-renowned club, fabric.

Back in the earlier stages of covid lockdowns, the EQ50 fam and I discussed a number of things we’d like to do - one of them being a Black Herstory of Breakbeat Hardcore/ Jungle/ D&B online stream, featuring various artists from the very beginning to present day, hosted on a big platform, to follow on from my BHM series & our tribute t-shirts. It didn’t come to pass for numerous reasons, but with hindsight it wasn’t quite the right time…

Fast forward to January this year. I received an email from Steph DEEP MEDi inviting me to curate something for their venue takeover. A beautiful surprise! and no brainer to use this opportunity to bring sistars with me 💫

On the whole, Black femmes/ nb artists are still overlooked, undervalued, missing from too many events, rosters, features, conversations. It’s a complete honour for me to present a lineup of *some* of the incredible talent who’ve pioneered, influenced, graced our scene. Thank you, Mala & MusikMatter for asking and providing space in a UK institution for this to occur. (It’s also over 10 years since I last played at fabric, that’s a story for another day but what a way to return).
